A pipe usually fails inside a wall cavity, which means the visible damage is only a fraction of what's actually happening behind the drywall.
Our New Athens, IL Burst Pipe Water Damage crews start with locating the shutoff valve and confirming water pressure has actually stopped.
We'll walk you through shutoff steps over the phone if you call before we arrive.
Our New Athens, IL crews trace pressure loss to identify the failure point before opening drywall.
We open wall cavities in a controlled, targeted way based on documented moisture data.
We coordinate directly with a licensed plumber for the actual pipe repair once our mitigation work is done.
A burst pipe call has a specific sequence — find the source, stop it, open only what's necessary, and coordinate repair — here's how our New Athens, IL crews run it.
Stopping active water flow happens before any cleanup step.
We locate the failure point before opening any drywall, avoiding guesswork demolition.
Wall cavity extraction addresses moisture a surface-level approach would miss.
Targeted removal limits the repair scope to what's actually necessary.
We dry wall framing directly, not just the room's ambient air.
We coordinate scheduling with a licensed plumber for the pipe repair itself.
We'll walk you through locating the shutoff valve over the phone if needed.
Our nearest crew arrives ready to confirm shutoff and begin diagnostics.
A pressure and moisture assessment comes before any wall opening.
The job isn't done until both drying and repair coordination are confirmed.
"They found our shutoff valve in about thirty seconds since we had no idea it existed, then got straight to work on the wall." — Holly T.
"Only opened up the section of wall that was actually wet instead of the whole thing. Saved us a lot on drywall repair." — Andre L.
"They coordinated directly with our plumber so the pipe got fixed the same week the wall was already open." — Priscilla W.
We can confirm which you're dealing with during the initial assessment.
Targeted removal is standard — we don't demolish more wall than necessary.
Pipe repair is handled by a licensed plumber we coordinate with, while we manage extraction and drying.
If you can safely reach it, shut off the water at the main or local valve to stop the flow.
